Our "little free boulevard garden" had a tiny problem from the city's construction work, but still growing! We added some front yard growing room to our backyard urban vegetable garden, happy to share with a neighbor passing by. Hoping to harvest soon!
Urban Boulevard Garden Disaster!
As you can see, our boulevard garden has hit a little snag! The city is doing something or other, electrical work, and just had to take out the sidewalk along with the tomatoes in my little free garden!
Nice guys though, they actually attempted to transplant them, didn't work great but still! So the tomatoes are still growing, in quite a hodge podge. Green tomatoes are still coming, it just doesn't look quite as charming out there.
We've got our first backyard garden tomato turning red so I'm sure the rest won't be far behind.
Despite the boulevard issues, in the backyard we are at that lovely point in the summer where you just have to serve zucchini for every meal to keep up! The one got a little big, that went into zucchini cookies and baby food. The rest were delicious, grilled, roasted, and sautéed in pasta!
